Software Testing Methodologies

Software Testing Methodologies is of 3 types are:

  • Black box Testing
  • White box Testing
  • Grey box Testing

 

Black box Testing:

If the resource (example: Software Tester) is performing testing on the functional part of the application then he / she will be treated as Black box tester.

The Test Engineers are Black box Tester. They will check whether the developed software is as per the client’s requirement or not. He will test whether the developed software is fulfilling the End User used flows or not (Flow Scenario).

 

White box Testing:

If the resource is testing the structural part (Programming) of the application then he / she will be treated as White box Tester.

Developers are white box testers.

 

Grey box Tester:

If the resource is having the experience on both Black box Testing & White box Testing then he will be treated as Grey box Tester.
